living proof that traditional, time-honored craft can be synonymous with luxury, and that sustainability needn't come at the sacrifice of style.

Empowering women in the economy and closing gender gaps in the world of work are key to achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The inspiration I found in Italy compelled me to start Hunting Season, a brand that would be founded on the tradition of craftsmanship through a modern interpretation of the classics.

Ética Denim

Designed in Los Angeles, produced in Mexico, ÉTICA is a sustainable lifestyle brand focused on premium denim and knits. The brand was founded by Agustin Ramirez, one of the largest premium denim manufacturers in Mexico. A Puebla native, Agustin was running his own factory and denim laundry by the age of 24. His early focus was on product and wash development, working closely with his many premium denim clients on design, fit and construction techniques. Innovation, efficiency and clean practices were always top of mind, and by 2014 Agustin began investing in green technologies, water filtration and water-saving equipment. He spent years pioneering sustainable manufacturing in Mexico, educating himself, his clients and his teams on proper use of and product development for these machines, forming alliances with international advocacy groups and global eco-focused suppliers like Jeanologia and ASUTEX. The natural conclusion of decades of research, investment and hard work, Agustin assembled a team of like-minded professionals, and started his very own brand in 2018.

ÉTICA is rooted in the ideals of fair labor, environmentally conscious manufacturing and social responsibility. Taking a holistic approach to sustainability, the ÉTICA team examines the full lifecycle of their product, from fiber to packaging, nothing goes unexamined. Vertically integrated, the factory has certifications from governments and coalitions around the world for its clean practices and social responsibility. ÉTICA proudly exceeds fair labor standards, providing living wages, benefits and ability-inclusive opportunities for its workers. ÉTICA recycles its water for local farmland, compresses used wash stones into bricks for low-income housing and partners with organizations committed to workers’ rights and environmental initiatives around the world. Taking a directional approach to design and construction, ÉTICA offers truly special pieces with premium fabrics and refined fits, proving that fashion and sustainability are not mutually exclusive.
