Philip Ayler was founded by Ayler Young to honor the craftsmanship of vintage couture fabrics by showcasing them in a single modern silhouette: the bomber jacket. Each jacket is handcrafted in Los Angeles using 38 meticulously cut pieces of fabric. Although his jackets have been seen across red carpets, each one is unique to its owner, making every piece a covetable closet staple.
Philip Ayler jackets are created using vintage designer textiles - such as Chanel, Balenciaga and Armani - that are sourced by Ayler from around the world. Each jacket is unique and limited edition, as once a fabric is exhausted, no more can be made. To date, the brand has repurposed 20,000 yards of material, preventing it from being wasted and ending up in landfills.
Philip Ayler is committed to social and environmental causes. Ayler’s jackets rose to fame after he created a set of custom bombers for Guns N’ Roses’ Not in This Lifetime tour in 2016. He was able to capitalize on their popularity by donating his jackets to numerous charity auctions and was able to raise $50,000 for local Los Angeles charities within six months. Ayler also serves as the Global Fashion and Merchandising Director for World Peace One Events, in which he leverages his jackets to raise capital for victims of natural disasters.
"There is a pattern that resonates between every being that has the power to bring us together. To make us better as a society, more creative, more conscious, better human beings, better stewards for this world. An intricate design that connects us that is imbued into music and art and form and function. You just have to look for it." - Ayler Young, Founder
