Our Collectiva Concepcion Concha Dress features an A-line silhouette with a darted bodice and waist, side zipper closure, puffed 3/4 length sleeves, and a round neckline with a center front slit. This piece is beautifully embellished with a two local techniques: Gaviado, a decorative herringbone hand-stitch and Deshilado, a process of removing weft threads to create a base for intricate lace-like embroidery.

Preserving Traditions
Collectiva employs 230 artisans in the Mexican states of Chiapas, State of Mexico, and Michoacán. These artisans, mostly women, earn above 170% the minimum wage and are given the flexibility to work from home as they care for their families.
