Our Collectiva Concepcion Frida Midi Dress features a flattering A-line silhouette with long sleeves, a round neckline, and a full skirt. The piece has a zipper closure in the back, pintucking at the waist, and is beautifully embellished with a two local techniques: Gaviado, a decorative herringbone hand-stitch and Deshilado, a process of removing weft threads to create a base for intricate lace-like embroidery.

Preserving Traditions
Collectiva employs 230 artisans in the Mexican states of Chiapas, State of Mexico, and Michoacán. These artisans, mostly women, earn above 170% the minimum wage and are given the flexibility to work from home as they care for their families.
