Our Collectiva Concepcion Milena Skirt features a midi length, bias cut A line silhouette with thoughtful hand placed pleats on the wearer's left side and a hand embroidered passage on the wearer's right hip. Other delicate details throughout the piece include Deshilado, a process of removing weft threads to create a base for intricate lace-like embroidery.
Handcrafted by artisans from the San Felipe de los Herreros community in Michoacán, Mexico.
Preserving Traditions
Collectiva employs 230 artisans in the Mexican states of Chiapas, State of Mexico, and Michoacán. These artisans, mostly women, earn above 170% the minimum wage and are given the flexibility to work from home as they care for their families.
